Are We Safe in a Digital World?

Dubai and UAE are among the best led and governed cities and countries in the world. They are aggressive in driving excellence in public services, and it was a pleasure to participate in this event where they invited 3,000 senior leaders and experts from around the world to discuss the most pressing issues facing governments, including cybersecurity. My proposal that they consider decentralizing their smart grid into multiple micro-grids was much discussed following my remarks. It is a model every city and nation should consider for the sake of cyber resilience as well as for protecting against natural disasters.
